Down comes the tree...

After a very enjoyable day working and playing with Josh, we came to the start of a thunder storm with lots of wind. As I sat down to work and Josh headed off to do something, we heard a large crack and the power went out. Josh went out to investigate and discovered the source of the problem:

The Tree Came Down

Actually, only a branch of the tree, but it was enough to take down the power line from the transformer to the house, do some very minor shingle damage, and crush the riding lawn mower. I was sure we would be out of power for days, at least the weekend. After a call to Idaho Power, my new hero arrived in his white truck and fixed the line for us. So instead of being without power for several days, we were only without for a couple of hours, thank goodness!!! Of course, I documented all the drama of the day:
