We always have a block party at our house on New Year's Day. This year was no different, as we again had our block party today. It was so fun to have so many of our friends and neighbors over today. I know they're the people who are my neighbors and that I go to church with most of them, but it seems as though we never have time to spend visiting. This is always such a nice afternoon where we can all just sit back and visit, eat good food that everyone brings, and spend time as friends and neighbors. It's always a good start to the New Year!!

Looks like so much fun! Sorry we didn't make it out....we had to have everything ready in the basement for sheetrock to go up today as our tape/texture guy is coming on Monday so we have to be 100% ready for him....oh the joys of fixing up a house! :) I love it though! Glad you had a good new years....we need to get together sometime soon!
It looks like a great party!! Oddly enough, I didn't recognize very many faces from your photos. Odd since I grew up there too. :D Anyway, that sounds like a great tradition. Happy New Year Liza!
Lots of new people in the area since you moved Shamae. I think some of the only one's there that you'd remember would be Shelman's & Woods.
